What the Number 10 Represents
10 YEAR ANNIVESARY FOR FREEDOM HOUSE

We are so excited to be celebrating our 10th anniversary here at Freedom House. Prophetically, spiritually and literally we are feeling, seeing and experiencing what the NUMBER 10 represents for us this year as we celebrate 10 years. The meaning of 10 biblically is a very significant and important number: It literally means perfection of divine order, completeness, nothing lacking, everything in proper order and a start of a whole new order. It brings an overwhelming sense of joy and peace to know that Father is doing a great work in Freedom House in this 10th year with such divine order. What a privilege and honor to be serving the body of Christ and serving the Kingdom in this "perfect" 10th Year. The Lord gave us the word for this year: "Great In 2008 With His Magistrate" - it seems very fitting for the 10th year.
Here is some of the scriptural significance of the number 10 pointed out in the Word.
• The Ten Commandments contain all that is necessary.
• The Lord's Prayer is completed in ten clauses.
• The Tithe of 10% represents the whole of what was due to God from man.
• Abraham's faith was proved by a completed cycle of ten trials.
• Fire came down from heaven ten times.
• Ten times the people shouted for joy.
• The ten "I AM"s of Jesus in John:
xxxxx I am the Bread of life.
xxxxx I am the Bread of Life which came from heaven.
xxxxx I am the Living Bread.
xxxxx I am the Light of the world.
xxxxx I am One that bear witness of Myself.
xxxxx I am the Door of the sheep.
xxxxx I am the Good Shepherd.
xxxxx I am the Resurrection and the Life.
xxxxx I am the Way, the Truth, and the Life.
xxxxx I am the True Vine.
• The Parables of the Kingdom are 10 in number in the Gospel of Matthew.
• The Silver Sockets which formed the foundation of the Tabernacle were 10 x 10. Ten also completed the number of curtains.
• The 10 Virigins represent the whole of the nation of Israel.
• The 10th verse of the Bible is part of the third day of creation - perfection of arrangement.
• The 10th chapter of the Bible is a largely genology of the descents of Noah. This genology starts with Noah, the 10th generation from Adam.
• And the 10th Passover recorded in the Bible (chronologically) is the one where Jesus was crucified.
As you can see, the number 10 represents something that is profoundly great with deep meanings for the past, present, and future. God uses symbolism, parables, and meanings to bring truth and insight into His true character as Father, Son, and Holy Spirit.
