When is it Time to Go For Counseling?
By (RMB)

1. When your discouragement becomes a way of life, it’s time to take a closer look. Is it discouragement? Depression? Burnout? Are you a wounded burden-bearer? Are you in authentic grief?

2. If others tell you that you’re too angry, too sensitive, too serious, then you most likely can use a little help to sort things out.

3. If fears, worry or negativity dominate your thoughts and rob you of joy and peace, it’s time to investigate reasons why you’re in captivity.

4. If you, as an adult, are being controlled and manipulated by other people and all you feel is helplessness, that’s a sure sign you need a little help in talking things through.

5. Verbal, emotional, sexual, spiritual and physical abuse are dysfunctional and abnormal. If you are victimized by these forms of abuse, you need to seek help immediately!

6. When you can’t live with the guilt feelings of a past or ongoing situation, you’ve lost focus and sense that it’s eating you up inside, it might be time to surrender to Godly counsel to discern the root causes.

Godly Prayer Counsel
Deep, spiritual healing requires giving attention to the whole man, to his emotional, relational, physical and spiritual needs. The Holy Spirit is given by God to communicate His love, light, forgiveness and power to our deepest needs. This spiritual aspect of healing is perhaps the most fundamental, because our view of God (and subsequent relationship with Him) can determine the quality and degree of health we experience in every other area of our lives.

Some of us believe that the Holy Spirit’s ministry is characterized only by positive, pleasant emotions like love and joy. However, one of the miracles of the Holy Spirit’s work is that of producing honesty and courage in our lives as we grapple with the reality of pain. He is the Spirit of truth, not denial, and He enables us to experience each element of the healing process as He gives us wisdom, strength and encouragement through God’s Word and other people.
