Time for Another Round
With autumn on the horizon, our thoughts migrate away from vacationing, picnicking, and sunbathing and move toward digging into something substantial so we can grow and mature in our personal, spiritual, and professional lives. You might be one of our former participants or graduates of Basic 1/Course 201 or Basic 2/Course 202 at Freedom House. Yet you find that some of the old wounds and the brokenness in your life are still festering or rearing their ugly heads. Maybe your professional work needs an added touch up with new, infused words from the Lord.
John Eldredge, our colleague in prayer ministry healing, says it quite clearly:
The human soul is a place of profound mysteries. … Do not be surprised or discouraged if you find that it takes more than one round of prayer. It didn’t take you a day to get into this mess. Sometimes you’ll have to pray again in a month, and then again in six months. Listen carefully: This doesn’t mean that “it didn’t work.” Quite often Christ comes back in our lives for a deeper work of healing. Even if you’re only eighteen, the sun has gone down a lot of times in your life; there’s a lot of past there. But if you’re fifty-eight, there’s a whole lot more past to your story. So be gracious, be patient; it doesn’t mean you’re blowing it if Christ brings it up again. It simply means it’s time for another round, and so you go back again through this exact process of repentance and deliverance and healing.

You might be the person that John is describing. We at Freedom House want to extend our invitation to you to revisit our prayer ministry courses for either your own personal healing or for your professional growth or for both. You can either audit or repeat our Courses 201 and 202. (These are the new titles of Basic 1 and 2 along with new lessons and new lectures.) Both Schools start Saturday, September 16, 2023.
COURSE 201 & 202 AUDIT/REPEAT REGISTRATION:
We have developed two short Applications to make it easier for you to apply. See which one is appropriate for you:
STUDENT APPLICATIONS to Audit Course 201 or 202 – You already completed the course and earned your Elijah House Certificate.
- Now you want to take the course again as a refresher for your personal healing and/or professional training.
- This would be an “audit.”
- The only requirement is attendance.
STUDENT APPLICATIONS to Repeat Course 201 or 202 – You did not complete the course and did not earn your Elijah House Certificate.
- Now you would like to earn your Elijah House Certificate and complete the course for your personal healing and/or professional training.
- This would be a “repeat.”
- You are required to do all incomplete homework and to attend all 8 Days; you could only miss one-full day.
All application forms must be received no later than the third Wednesday in August. An additional $35 fee will be assessed for late registration or late payment beginning on the third Thursday in August.
On Day 1 of the Schools, you will receive an updated spiral-bound Freedom House Student Booklet with valuable information about the overall course, the Elijah House graduation requirements, the homework assignments, plus additional supplementary documents on each Lesson to expand your learning. The fee of $25 is not included in the Student Costs. Therefore, you will need to plan to bring that amount either in cash or check on Day 1 to receive your Booklet.

Jack and Trisha Frost experienced many things through the 35 years of their relationship; some joyful and exciting, others disappointing and wounding. They lived, loved, and fought their way into finally finding their destiny. From their life journey to find the love they had so desperately been seeking came a revelation of unconditional agape love that brought healing to their family and also to the lives of many families around the world as Jack traveled and shared their story.
Now the message of agape continues in the life of Trisha and their children. Jack had for years encouraged Trisha to tell her side of the story, saying to the Shiloh Place staff that “there is a Niagara Falls of teaching in her, waiting to be released” but for a long time the circumstances of life and ministry have kept her travel schedule at a minimum.
Today is the hour of her release as she is one of many Shiloh Place teachers, charting our way through new challenges of life without Jack. Trisha’s life used to flow from feeling like an orphan, abandoned by her own loving father, and then by her husband; she felt she constantly had to take a back seat to Jack‘s other “loves.”
Now she can take you on the journey to find your place in the heart of God as she shares the breakthrough of her own revelation of love at the culmination of her pathway to healing, foremost as a favored child of God, then also as a wife and a mother. Trisha is ordained with The River Fellowship.

Healing Our Children’s Hearts - January 21, 2017
Freedom House is excited to host an afternoon of sharing and Q&A with Mark & Maureen Sandford from Elijah House, Coeur d'Alene, Idaho on Saturday, January 21, 2017 – 2:00 pm to 6:00 pm. Hors d'oeuvres and Desserts!
Director of Elijah House Ministries and author, Mark Sandford, and his wife Maureen, will spend an afternoon sharing with us how to heal children’s hearts — our own or those we have taken under our wing.
- Learn to initiate healing to the broken hearts of children — your own or those you have taken under your wing.
- Help remove roots of bitterness before they fully take root. (It works for grown children, too!)

See, I will send the prophet Elijah to you before that great and dreadful day of the Lord comes. He will turn the hearts of the parents to their children, and the hearts of the children to their parents; or else I will come and strike the land with total destruction.
Mark has co-authored Deliverance and Inner Healing and Healing the Earth with his father, John Sandford. He and Maureen have created a 9-video series, “Healing the Hearts of Our Children” (the subject of our coming time together!).
Mark's extraordinary understanding of Scripture, and his and Maureen’s childlike faith, humility, and sensitivity, make them outstanding teachers and prayer ministers. They minister to individuals and couples in inner healing and deliverance, and teach at Elijah House schools and seminars internationally.
Mark and Maureen have been married since 1984 and have three adult children.
