Time for Another Round
With autumn on the horizon, our thoughts migrate away from vacationing, picnicking, and sunbathing and move toward digging into something substantial so we can grow and mature in our personal, spiritual, and professional lives. You might be one of our former participants or graduates of Basic 1/Course 201 or Basic 2/Course 202 at Freedom House. Yet you find that some of the old wounds and the brokenness in your life are still festering or rearing their ugly heads. Maybe your professional work needs an added touch up with new, infused words from the Lord.
John Eldredge, our colleague in prayer ministry healing, says it quite clearly:
The human soul is a place of profound mysteries. … Do not be surprised or discouraged if you find that it takes more than one round of prayer. It didn’t take you a day to get into this mess. Sometimes you’ll have to pray again in a month, and then again in six months. Listen carefully: This doesn’t mean that “it didn’t work.” Quite often Christ comes back in our lives for a deeper work of healing. Even if you’re only eighteen, the sun has gone down a lot of times in your life; there’s a lot of past there. But if you’re fifty-eight, there’s a whole lot more past to your story. So be gracious, be patient; it doesn’t mean you’re blowing it if Christ brings it up again. It simply means it’s time for another round, and so you go back again through this exact process of repentance and deliverance and healing.

You might be the person that John is describing. We at Freedom House want to extend our invitation to you to revisit our prayer ministry courses for either your own personal healing or for your professional growth or for both. You can either audit or repeat our Courses 201 and 202. (These are the new titles of Basic 1 and 2 along with new lessons and new lectures.) Both Schools start Saturday, September 16, 2023.
COURSE 201 & 202 AUDIT/REPEAT REGISTRATION:
We have developed two short Applications to make it easier for you to apply. See which one is appropriate for you:
STUDENT APPLICATIONS to Audit Course 201 or 202 – You already completed the course and earned your Elijah House Certificate.
- Now you want to take the course again as a refresher for your personal healing and/or professional training.
- This would be an “audit.”
- The only requirement is attendance.
STUDENT APPLICATIONS to Repeat Course 201 or 202 – You did not complete the course and did not earn your Elijah House Certificate.
- Now you would like to earn your Elijah House Certificate and complete the course for your personal healing and/or professional training.
- This would be a “repeat.”
- You are required to do all incomplete homework and to attend all 8 Days; you could only miss one-full day.
All application forms must be received no later than the third Wednesday in August. An additional $35 fee will be assessed for late registration or late payment beginning on the third Thursday in August.
On Day 1 of the Schools, you will receive an updated spiral-bound Freedom House Student Booklet with valuable information about the overall course, the Elijah House graduation requirements, the homework assignments, plus additional supplementary documents on each Lesson to expand your learning. The fee of $25 is not included in the Student Costs. Therefore, you will need to plan to bring that amount either in cash or check on Day 1 to receive your Booklet.

Freedom House Schools are here to help facilitate and accelerate our maturity as sons and daughters so that we can fulfill God’s will for you and for me. You may be wondering how Freedom House Schools can assist in making this happen. Let’s consider three benefits of attending the Schools:
Firstly, in our schools we help each student learn how to receive and believe what the Father thinks, feels, and proclaims about us as His sons and daughters. For many of us, we have built false perceptions about ourselves and over time, due to our earlier wounding experiences and painful traumas, our filters of how we experience life have clogged and our glasses that we wear to view life have become fogged. Furthermore, our basic trust has been broken, lost, or depleted. So we then live out our lives cautiously and carefully protecting ourselves from not getting hurt again; thus we are afraid to receive love and give love away.
Freedom House Schools help to open up these places in our hearts that have been sealed off for many years. By His Holy Spirit, through the Lessons being taught, the intimate and safe setting of a small group, and along with prayer ministry, you begin to let down the drawbridge of your heart to receive and believe His love and truths for you.
Ephesians 4:13 – until we come to such unity in our faith and knowledge of God’s Son that we will be mature and full grown in the Lord, measuring up to the full stature of Christ. (NLT)
Spiritual maturity is marrying the faith and knowledge of Jesus in our life. However, because we all have logjams (strongholds), faulty perceptions and misbeliefs of who we are and who God is, we will not know how to live out life in Jesus through our true Christian identity, our God-given personality, and our spiritual destiny leading us into full spiritual maturity. The Schools assist us in removing the strongholds and restoring truthful, biblical perceptions and beliefs upon which spiritual maturity is based.
Secondly, through Freedom House Schools we help equip you with skills, insights, and tools for understanding why we do the things we do. We come to recognize repeated patterns that bring bad fruit and more pain/shame. We help you to bring the old structured ways of acting and thinking to death on the cross and then dismantle those places that continue to hurt us, hurt others, and hurt our Lord. Through the leading of the Holy Spirit’s love, comfort and truth, YOU can begin to live full, whole, and mature lives in Him.

Thirdly, Freedom House Schools will be like a caring family walking along side of you in the places that the Father is releasing healing and transformation. It’s with arms of love and truth that our staff and leaders encourage, uplift, and minister to you as spiritual mothers and fathers, and brothers and sisters in Christ. We release the Father’s Love and pour His Storge Love (Family Love) into those deepest places of longing to be heard, understood, and cherished. You come to the place where you can know in the inner-core of your being how much the Father loves you and how much you are a gift to Him and all those around you.
